Andhra Prawns Fry Recipe


Since I’ve been a child, I have always loved prawns. This left my dear mother scrambling to find different recipes to keep me satisfied.




Prawn Fry Recipe

Prep time: 10 min
Cook time: 20 min
Yield: 4
Main Ingredients: prawns
 

Ingredients

Prawns - 1kg, cleaned and de-veined
Allam Velluvi Paste - 2 tsp
Zeera - 1/4 tsp
Avalu - 1/4 tsp
Big Salt - 1 tbsp
small onions - 4 to 5
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Chilli powder - 2 tsp
pinch garam masala  

Grind all the ingredients

 At First Clean the Prawns and then boil in a small heat with pinch turmeric powder untill all the prawans are dry and wet. Once completed take all the prawns to another dish.


 Heat oil in a kadhai or deep pan. after that once the oil begins to bubble add the finely minced garlic, onions, and curry leaves sauté for 7 to 8 minutes till onions are caramelized.

Add the cooked prawns to the caramelized onions and add  2  tsp chilli powder, garam masala and stir fry for 3 minutes.. Serve hot with rice or as a starter!!

Korraman Fish Fry or Korramatta Fish Fry

Chepa Vepudu is a very simple and easy fish fry recipe and if you are fond of seafood or fish, I am sure you are going to enjoy this fish fry recipe.




Ingredients:
7-8 fish fillets
3 tablespoon oil


To grind:
Allam Velluvi Paste - 2 tsp
Zeera - 1/4 tsp
Avalu - 1/4 tsp
Big Salt - 1 tbsp
small onions - 5 to -6
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Chilli powder - 2 tsp
pinch garam masala


Make a paste of all the above ingredients

Clean fish. Apply the paste to all the fish fillets and keep aside for 20 minutes.


Heat 3 tbsps oil in a heavy bottomed vessel or non-stick pan, add few curry leaves and fry for few seconds.  Now add the marinated fish fillets and cook them on slow fire for 12-14 minutes. See that the fish does’nt burn or get stuck to the vessel.

Flip over the fried fish and let them cook and brown on the other side. Cook for 8-10 minutes.

Added Flavors Coriander Leaves (Kottimeera)

Turn off heat and serve hot as a side dish with steamed white rice and curry or rasam.
